Although I never owned a trials bike, I used to love watching my friends come a cropper on theirs and always wished I could do the same. Now I can though, and I don't have to fork out loads of money to do so, thanks to this neat game for Java-enabled phones.

The full version of the software offers 30 race tracks with three levels of difficulty and performance classes. Each course of Gravity Defied Trial Racing demands a lot of driving skills and balance in order to stay on two wheels and it can be difficult to get to grips with the rather fiddly controls at first. If you're not careful it's easy to become unseated and you must start the whole course again.

Despite its difficulty, the game is quite addictive and a high scores league helps to keep you coming back for more time and time again. As the levels progress, they become increasingly complex, but that's motivation enough to keep trying, because with this they also get more fun.

Although not quite as polished graphically as games like Moto Gear on the Symbian platform, Gravity Defied is an addictive distraction with lots of challenging and varied courses.
